BLAKESBURG - Kathleen "Hazel" Daugherty, 63, of Blakesburg, died Feb. 25, 2005, at Hospice House.

She was born Nov. 24, 1941, in Ottumwa to Noble and Kathleen Fogle Beeson. She married Tom Michael in 1958 in Ottumwa. Then she married Francis Daugherty in 1981 in Farson. He preceded her in death Sept. 15, 2002.

Shje enjoyed gardening and assisted with animal care at the Eastview Animal Hospital.

Surviving are her parents, Noble and Kathleen Beeson of Ottumwa; a son, Fred Michael of Glendale, Ariz.; four daughters, Debbie Kress of Swisher, Cheryl Sedrel of Cedar Rapids, Kathy Jennings of Carlisle and Judy Wheeler of Des Moines; a brother, Gene Beeson of Ottumwa; a sister, Patricia (Dean) Harter; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, grandparents, and one sister, Vickie Clark.
The service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Zion Community Church of God, with the Rev. Jesse Elkins officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Chapel, Ottumwa, with family present 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Eric Harter, Stacy Harter, Brian Harter, Gene Beeson and Aaron Clark.
Memorials may be made to Hospice House or Heartland Humane Society.
