Nancy Bunten McNulty |
She was born October 14, 1941, in Ottumwa to Robert and Cuba Pearl Hasting Bunten. She married Allen McNulty on August 28, 1970. A 1959 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Nancy had worked in banking in Ottumwa for several years and she had worked in day care in Overland Park, Kansas, for many years. Nancy enjoyed cooking and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed socializing and spending time with friends, family and especially with her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband, Allen; her children, Dana (Doug) Overturf of Ottumwa, Sara (Scott) Curry of Mission, Kansas, and Joel McNulty of Overland Park, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Nathan (Katlyn), Tyler (Sarah), Drew, Beth, Mira, Sloan and Willow; a great-grandson, Will; two sisters, Judy (Tom) Dean of Keller, Texas; and Patty Meeker of Ankeny. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jill Taylor; and a sister, Sally McNulty. Her body has been cremated. Visitation with the family present will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home.
