Michael Edward Sheridan, 76, passed away on December 26, 2017, in Alamo, Texas, from complications of Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born in Ottumwa, IA June 5, 1941 to Charles (Bud) and Madge Sheridan who proceeded him in death. He married Vicki Neikirk June 12, 1971. They later divorced. He married Paula Lynxwiler on March 20, 1995.
Surviving is his wife Paula of Pekin, IL, one daughter Jennifer Summers of Mt. Sterling, KY, on son Patrick Sheridan of Washington, IL, two stepsons, Rodney Lynxwiler of Morton, IL, Jeff Lynxwiler (Angie) of Urbana, OH, three grandchildren and four step grandchildren, one sister Suzanne Derby of Ottumwa, 3 nephews and one niece all of Iowa.
Michael spent 43 years working for the railroad and he retired from the Chicago Northwestern/Union Pacific in 2002. He was also involved with Boy Scouts where he received his Eagle Scout award. He enjoyed traveling and camping and was an active member of the Holiday Rambler Club. Mike never knew a stranger and enjoyed visiting with other campers all across the country.
Per his wishes he has been cremated and no memorial services are planned.
