May 15, 2015 Kenneth Orrin Caviness - 74, OttumwaOTTUMWA — Kenneth Orrin Caviness, 74, entered the Kingdom of Heaven, May 6, 2015, in Fruita, Colorado, at home surrounded by his wife, Louise, of 24 years and family and friends. He was born in Des Moines Jan. 13, 1941. As a child his family moved to Ottumwa and graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1960. Kenneth worked for IBM for more than 40 years in Ottumwa, Seattle, Denver, Steamboat Springs and Fruita, Colorado. He was a customer service technician helping to keep IBM office equipment working. While in Ottumwa he was a member of St. Mary's Church. Kenneth married Donna Kenfield in 1962 in Denver; they later divorced. He married Louise Schubert DiBenedetto in Denver May 4, 1991, who survives him. Kenneth is survived by his wife Louise E.; children Victoria Behrer of Arvada, Colorado, Jeanne Sullivan of Elmira, New York, Corinne Jack of Westminster, Colorado, Curtis Caviness of Littleton, Colorado, Ted Caviness of Denver, Colorado, Pete Caviness of Thornton, Colorado, Theresa Caviness-Osborne of Denver, Colorado, Annette DiBenedetto of Fruita, Colorado, and Michelle DiBenedetto of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters Karen Davis of Whitefish, Montana, and Karla Houk of Ottumwa; and twin brother, Keith Caviness (Trudy) of Ottumwa; 27 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Irene Caviness; grandson, Nik; and granddaughter, Rebecca. Kenneth enjoyed golfing, hunting, motor home traveling and spending time with family and friends. A celebration of Kenneth's life will be held July 4, 2015, at Adobe Creek Golf Course in Fruita, Colorado.
